Midnight Diner tells its story over the course of three nights, with the third night marking the end of the game. Once your third night at the diner begins, continue serving customers until you run out of food. Next, approach the telephone to call the supplies company to restock the kitchen.

Once the call ends, leave the building and approach the supplies company truck. You will be instructed to collect food from the back of the goods carrier. Upon interacting with its back door, the killer nicknamed "The Butcher" will show himself, which is when the ending sequences begin.

Getting the first ending is simple: instead of following the on-screen instructions and running away, stay in your place. The Butcher will kill you, triggering the first ending.

Alternatively, run into the diner and when the instructions prompt you to run away or hide, allow the 30-second timer to run out. The Butcher will find and kill you, giving you the You Died ending.
