The Color War event has a lengthy preamble before you get to the competitive meat. This event presents one with a prelude to the main event, allowing new players to get a feel for the game in its first four areas. Upon clearing them, you can start scoring points and contribute to your team’s efforts in the fifth segment of the map.

You can access this event by walking into the Pet Simulator 99 Color War Event building next to the spawn point. Simply enter the glowing white door to be teleported to the event-exclusive map.

The event map is segmented into five areas, each of which has a specific unlock condition. Fulfill them to progress forward and inch a step closer to getting the most powerful event-exclusive pets.

Here’s everything you need to know about this event:

Event Features:

  • Exclusive Map: The game has replaced the previous event-exclusive map, the RNG Event 2024, with a new one to reflect the theme of the new competition. The Color War event has no end date as of now, so you can expect it to last quite a while.
  • First Four Areas: The first four areas of the game prepare you for what’s to come in the fifth one. These are low-stakes laid-back parts of the map where all you need to worry about is fulfilling the given objective at your leisure. Your objectives include collecting the specified amount of event-exclusive Coins, hatching exclusive Eggs, and breaking a certain amount of breakables.
  • Five Teams: When you reach the fifth area of the game, you will be sorted into one of five color-themed teams: Red, Yellow, Green, Purple, and Blue. Once every day, you will be shuffled into one of the other teams, which spices up the gameplay loop quite a bit. It also prevents the leading team from pulling too far ahead because of this shuffle. As a result, you will see each team be within an arm’s length of each other in terms of leaderboard spots.
  • Hatching Points: Hatching Points are the measuring stick that determines a team’s place on the leaderboard. You can earn them by hatching the Colorful Spots Eggs in the final area of the event. Rare pets earn you more Points, while common ones net you just one. The rarest pets can get you up to 1.5 million Points with a single pull, incentivizing the use of Auto-Hatch to maximize your points.

Event-exclusive items:

  • New Exclusive Coin: The event features exclusive Coins that can be used to hatch Eggs and open the path to the next area. How much they cost varies from one section of the map to the next.
  • Event-specific Eggs and Pets: As is the norm with unique events in Pet Simulator 99, various new Eggs and pets have been added for the Color War Event. Each area has a unique flavor of pets to collect and use, with the final area featuring some of the most powerful of the bunch. Hatch Eggs in the final area to get team-specific Chroma Eggs.
  • Paint Bucket: Paint Buckets are unique items used to craft gifts, get points for your team, and stay on the same team as before. Rather than being a purchasable item, these are hourly rewards, incentivizing logging in every hour. The number of buckets you get directly depends on your team’s position on the leaderboard, with the top spot earning five at once.
  • Gold and Rainbow Pets: You can convert 10 regular pets into Gold, and 10 Gold pets into Rainbow counterparts. Transforming your Pets makes them more effective at breaking objects, with the Rainbow transformation applying a 10x multiplier to your pets.

Tips for clearing all areas in the Pet Simulator 99 Color War Event

Getting started in the Pet Simulator 99 Color War Event is as easy as entering the white door next to the spawn point in the main game. Then, destroy the breakables in the first area to earn Coins and hatch Eggs. Proceeding to Area 2 requires you to collect 30,000 Coins, which only takes a few minutes to achieve.

This forms the core of the gameplay loop of the first four areas: collect Coins, hatch Eggs, destroy breakables, and unlock the path ahead. Each area renders the pets used in the previous ones obsolete, giving you a thorough taste of what the event has to offer. This can be mitigated through the Gold and Rainbow transformations, albeit only slightly.

A good way to get through the breakable destruction, Coin collection, and egg-hatching requirements is to go AFK for a few minutes. Initiate the required action and walk away for five to 10 minutes while your pets do the work. Be sure to activate a damage and Coin potion as well to speed up the process.

When you return, you will have either made a significant dent in the unlock requirement or fulfilled it entirely.

Area 5 is a little different from the other areas, considering its primary focus is on hatching Eggs rather than any other action. This means that once you are sorted into a team, it will be quite beneficial to use your boosts to collect as many Coins as possible.

After you have amassed a few million, activate the Auto-Hatch setting and approach the Egg counter on the left side. Start hatching 20 Eggs and go AFK, allowing the game to earn Points for you. The aim is to try and get the rarest Pets possible, as that gives you upwards of a million Points with a single pull.

Once you run out of Coins, return to the breakables with your army of endgame Pets to earn more. Within just a few minutes, you will have all of your spent Coins back, allowing you to go on a hatching spree yet again.
