In Team Deathmatch, two teams of up to five players tackle each other in a high-octane shootout. This mode involves trying to eliminate members of the opposing team as many times as possible before the time runs out.

This is a fairly straightforward mode as far as rulesets go. Its scoring system is based on eliminations, and the more players you take down, the higher your score. If you can maintain a kill streak, your score will be higher than what it would be with ordinary eliminations. You can also assist other players to secure a kill or be assisted by your teammates.

Once a player is eliminated, they will respawn after about five seconds, allowing them to rejoin the fray and engage with the opposite team again. Since death isn’t permanent in this mode, the action remains consistently high-speed, keeping you on your toes at all times.

A Team Deathmatch round ends once the timer runs out, which is when the points are tallied. The team with the highest cumulative score is declared the victor, with the highest individual scores highlighted as contributors. This screen also highlights the amount of damage dealt, the total number of eliminations, the number of deaths, and the number of kill assists.

Loadouts and Team Deathmatch strategies in Roblox Rivals

In a Team Deathmatch, formulate a strategy based on your loadout and teammates. Your loadout dictates your overall offensive approach, directly affecting the ebb and flow of the match.

If geared for an all-out assault, you will likely deal plenty of damage and secure many kills but will be left susceptible to being eliminated. There's a notable trade-off here, considering how drastically this can affect the outcome of the match.

In contrast, playing a defensive or support role will give you the opportunity to perform assists more often. That said, this role will have you lacking in the kill count and damage areas, which can cost your team the match. Ideally, you should go for a mixture of these approaches.

A precise long-ranged weapon like the Sniper Rifle or the Burst Rifle is great as the primary source of damage. These weapons can eliminate players in just a few shots and are fully reliable in battle.

For the secondary weapon, feel free to pick up the classic Revolver over the Handgun. The Revolver packs a lot of punch and is available from the start, making it a beginner-friendly option.

As for the melee weapon, we recommend using the Scythe. Since close-quarters combat encounters will be few and far between, the Scythe will be your primary movement tool. Its special dash (Right Mouse Button) can close distance rapidly and make you rather difficult to hit at the same time.

Lastly, the utility slot can be anything you prefer. Grenades deal good damage, but Flashbangs can set multiple opponents up for easy kills. In contrast, Medkits can be lifesavers, helping you recover from a lethal exchange with another player. Choose this option based on which range you prefer your shootouts to be in.

The idea is to maintain the distance between you and the opponents so that you retain the advantage. Often, players rely on sitting in a corner of the map and shooting others from afar. While it may work to a degree, it also leaves them easy targets for other highly mobile players. A still target makes for an easy kill, after all.

Try to keep the match's momentum squarely in your team’s control and push back against the opponents through teamwork. Feel free to coordinate your loadouts with the team and formulate a strategy to work around the weaknesses of the individual builds.
