In Type Soul, Resurreccion, a mechanic exclusive to Arrancars, is available in two forms: Partial Res and Full Res. The latest update introduced a new Partial Res called Snake Resurreccion for Arrancar players to experiment with. This Res offers some of the most powerful abilities available for the class and mastering it can make battles easier to conquer.
Let’s explore Snake Resurreccion and find out how you can master it for maximum combat effectiveness.
An overview of Snake Resurreccion in Type Soul
Snake Resurreccion is one of the rarest Partial Res, being a Mythical rarity Resurreccion. It has a 0.5% chance of appearing while rerolling your Res, matching the acquisition rate of the Light Partial Res. Just like the Light Res, Snake Resurreccion’s moves are among the best in the game.
This serpent-themed Resurreccion comes with three skills: Serpent’s Siege, Rising Slash, and Carving Slash. These moves have a starting animation and up to two follow-ups. Hit the buttons at the right time, and you will deal hefty damage to the enemy.
The timings for these button presses are quite specific, and knowing them is the key to mastering them. Naturally, it would be prudent to spend some time practicing them, preferably with a friend to see how they work.

Mastering Snake Resurreccion
Along with the timed button presses, mastering Snake Resurreccion also requires you to understand how each move works. Once you learn the properties of each skill, you can combine them to create a powerful combo that shreds through the enemy's HP.
Here’s a breakdown of the different properties of the five skills:
- Serpent’s Siege: A move that swipes directly in front of you. Its follow-up can be triggered by pressing the skill button right as the initial attack ends. Your avatar will swipe left and right multiple times to rack up plenty of damage.
- Rising Fang: An uppercut-style move that launches the enemy in the air and instantly breaks their posture. You can follow it up by pressing the button while they are thrown upward to cast an energy line, catching them mid-flight. The moment the line connects, your avatar will slam the opponent into the ground.
- Carving Slash: A charge-style move that throws the opponent several paces back. When in Overdrive mode, this move can be extended by pressing the skill button again as long as enemies surround you.
It is recommended to use this Res with a Hakuda/Speed hybrid build to make the most out of Snake Res. Skills like Flash Fang can open up the opponent, creating the opportunity for a combo starter.
Practice the different skills and build combinations possible with the Snake Partial Res and see which suits you the best.
