Sorcerer Battlegrounds puts you in an arena with other players and tasks you with eliminating as many as possible. The default battle mode results in a no-holds-barred fight, where there are no rules, and players can attack anyone without being impeded. Should you die at any point, the game will immediately respawn you in the arena and you can rejoin the fray.

The nine playable characters can be chosen and switched around at will, giving you access to various ways to play the game. You can execute normal attacks in a combo and top it off by using a skill, dealing hefty damage to the opponent. Each character has access to different combo routes, which depend on their normal attack chains.

• Combat: The game’s combat is centered around your normal attack string, known otherwise as the M1s. Use the Left Mouse Button repeatedly to dish out multiple hits, with the final hit being the most devastating of the combo string. The speed of this string varies between characters, which is what defines their combo routes. Combine these with skills to unleash lengthy combos that mince through the opponent’s HP pool.
• Skills: Skills are flashy moves that deal more damage than the M1 combo string. These can be executed by pressing the corresponding number key. Certain skills are better suited as combo starters, while others make for a great way to end the combo. Additionally, a few characters have access to a unique counter-style move that interrupts the opponent’s move and delivers a ravaging counter-hit.
• Awakening: As you land attacks, your Awakening meter will fill up. When maxed out, you can enter a special mode that amplifies the damage dealt and skill set. Use this Ultimate Mode when in a pinch to make a comeback and devastate the opponent with a destructive combo that shreds their health to pieces.
• Playable Characters: The title includes nine playable characters, most of which can be accessed for free. Each of them possesses unique abilities that set them apart from the others. Experiment with their combo routes and skills to see which character best suits your play style before heading into active combat.
• Ranked Mode: The game includes a Ranked Mode, where you can participate in duels, team matches, and more.
