Special Forces Simulator is a first-person shooter experience where every action you take must be chosen with great care. As a member of a Special Forces SWAT team, you must pick out enemies scattered across the map while avoiding their counterfire. The default movement speed is deliberately slow to give your movement a sense of weight and precision.

Its core gameplay loop has you defeating criminals on various maps, from urban settings to rural ones. As you continue to eliminate criminals, new and tough enemy configurations will begin popping up as the stage’s boss enemy. Subdue or eliminate all foes on the map and rescue the hostages to end the mission.

Once the mission ends, you will be given a summary of your performance in the match before being teleported back to the hub.

Gameplay mechanics

  • Matches: Special Forces Simulator has no designated mission board or a sequence of missions. Instead, it will randomly assign missions based on the chosen map and difficulty. This gives each match a degree of flexibility, allowing all players to be on the same page while playing through the game. Skill prevails above all else, and the match structure reflects that perfectly.
  • Difficulty Level: You can vote for one of five difficulty modes for each match: Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert, and Realistic. The higher the difficulty, the better the rewards. The difficulty mode with the highest number of votes in the player pool will be chosen. Of course, tougher difficulties will lead to swift deaths, which is why we recommend avoiding them until you have better gear.
  • Maps: Each match gives you a selection of three maps to vote on, which are randomly chosen from the game’s pool of matches. The map with the most votes is chosen as the match’s setting and the main mission adjusts accordingly.
  • SWAT Action: You must kill the specified number of enemies as a part of the match’s objective. Like most FPS titles, the enemies take more damage when shot in the head but their center mass is easier to hit. Pick your shots carefully and avoid gunfire as much as possible. When the opportunity arises, approach a surrendering criminal (indicated by a green marker on the minimap) and hold E to arrest them.
  • Levels: You gain XP by killing enemies and completing missions. Earning enough XP will cause you to level up, increasing your base stats and unlocking gear and armor pieces at the item shop.
  • Prestige: Prestige is this game’s Rebirth system, where your levels will reset but you will gain access to new and supremely powerful weapons and gear. Consider doing this once you’ve unlocked most of the items in the item shops.
  • Gear: Armor plays a major role in the number of hits you can take from enemies. The gear you start with may as well not exist in higher difficulties, which is why you should equip better armor pieces at the earliest. Better gear unlocks with levels and can be purchased with either in-game Cash or Robux.
  • Weapons: Better weapons deal more damage and are more ammo-efficient as well. Higher difficulties all but necessitate the use of advanced weaponry like rifles and shotguns. Like gear, you can unlock them with levels and purchase them with in-game cash and Robux.
  • Premium features: Premium features give you early access to certain weapon and gear types and allow you to wield the most powerful items that spawn on maps. They act as the most effective options that cost real-world money to unlock, making them best suited for the Realistic difficulty.
