Tank Mates is a cooperative Roblox experience where two players must join forces to clear an obstacle course. One of the players must drive the tank, while the other is responsible for operating the cannon. Both players must help each other navigate the course, as one cannot survive on these levels without the other. Team up with a friend or another Robloxian to tackle challenging courses and reach the end to win.

Tank Mates is an exclusively two-player experience where both participants must cooperate to navigate an obstacle course and reach the next checkpoint while in a tank. You can play as either the Driver or the Shooter — the Driver has complete control of the tank’s movement — while the Shooter can operate the cannon.

Since the obstacle course is designed with the cannon in mind, both players are required to perform their respective roles well. The Shooter must take care of any obstacles on the path by shooting them down, while the Driver must help them line up the shots. Move through the different checkpoints in the game and reach the end to win the game.

Keep a deft hand over the navigation controls as the Driver and the cannon controls as the Shooter to reach the end with ease.

Featured gameplay

Cooperative multiplayer action: The game is about cooperation, and both players must work in tandem to reach the end. Starting a round entails entering one of the pods in the hub world; the first player acts as the Driver, while the second is the Shooter. The Driver can select the starting Checkpoint, after which the players can load into the level.
Obstacle course navigation: The Driver handles every aspect of the navigation, giving them near-complete control of the tank. Winning requires the Driver to maintain control over the vehicle as they go through the different challenges populating the obstacle course. As they do so, the Shooter must keep an eye on the course and use their cannon to clear the path ahead. While the need to communicate is not particularly needed for this co-op title, it certainly helps to know what your companion is thinking at any point.
Checkpoints: Checkpoints are milestones that players must cross to save their progress and reach the next level. These are safety nets that prevent you from having to start over in the event of an unfortunate death. If you were to quit in the middle of a session, you would be able to restart the latest level from the last Checkpoint.
Tanks and Crates: As far as controls and overall vehicle stats go, the game only features a single tank. That said, there are multiple variations of the vehicle that alter its appearance. You can select from over a dozen different skins, which can be collected by opening Crates. Crates require you to collect Coins by clearing Checkpoints, with each Crate requiring 100 Coins to open.
Premium features: Various premium aspects can be purchased from the in-game Shop using Robux. Players can purchase skins, Revives, Coins, and more, which can improve your experience with the game.
