Everything new in Tower Defense X v2.2.3
Attack Helo tower and new maps
The main attraction of version 2.2.3 is the Attack Helo tower. This tower is an attack helicopter that shoots rocket pods in three distinct modes: set location, follow player, and pursuit.
Attack Helo is adept at ranged combat, allowing you to deal AoE damage from afar with a relentless barrage of rockets. You can unlock this unit at level 85 for 82,000 Cash or with 2,950 Robux.
The other new unit is the Sentry Tower, an automated turret that locks onto enemies within range and unleashes a hail of bullets at them. If destroyed, the turret can rebuild itself, making it a particularly resilient tower. You can purchase it for 7,250 Cash.
Version 2.2.3 also adds 10 new maps to the game, which are listed below:
- Anchor: Simple difficulty
- Baseplate: Impossible difficulty
- Gas Station: Hard difficulty
- GDI Port City: Normal difficulty
- Hakurei Shrine: Normal difficulty
- Junction: Easy difficulty
- Outpost Forge: Simple difficulty
- Route: Normal difficulty
- Simulation: Normal difficulty
- Survival 202: Hard difficulty

New features and balance adjustments
The latest update includes two new features: functional vending machines and the ability to view player loadouts. You can now use vending machines scattered in the lobby for a quick snack. Interact with the machines to find out which items are in stock currently.
You can view player loadouts with the latest update, one of the most-requested features from players. With it, you can check a player’s badges, equipped towers, level, and other stats.
A myriad of balance changes and QoL improvements were also made with version 2.2.3, which are listed below:
- Medic can now be placed on the field up to 24 times. The unit heals more and has a higher HP pool to make it more competitive.
- Armored Factory in quad has been adjusted to support three placements per player instead of two.
- The Slammer unit has received a sizable nerf, with its cumulative damage adjusted to be 1,300. Its stun time has also been reduced to 1.5 seconds.
- XWM’s rebuild time has been increased from 15 to 35. Each time this unit is destroyed, it takes 30 seconds longer to rebuild.
- Railgunner’s top path max has been adjusted from 36,000 to 26,000. Its HP has also received a slight buff.
