Toilet Tower Defense is a Roblox experience where you use units known as Towers to protect your home base from nefarious forces. Its latest update added the Abysmal Mode, a gameplay mode that cranks up the difficulty to 11. Within days of release, it has garnered a reputation as the hardest mode, cementing its status as an insurmountable wall for many.
This article breaks down everything about Abysmal Mode and gives you tips on beating it.
An overview of the Abysmal Mode in Toilet Tower Defense
The Abysmal Mode is the fifth difficulty option added to the game, being selectable alongside Easy, Medium, Hard, and Nightmare modes. This mode was added to the game on August 8, 2024, and it is quite a challenge, even for seasoned veterans.
It features the highest scaling in the game outside the Endless Mode, where enemies are far stronger than in other modes. They can tear through your Towers faster than you can earn enough money to build a defense. Its structure mandates the use of the best units in the game.
The mode throws 60 enemy waves at you, with a boss making an appearance every 10 waves. Each boss marks a ramp-up in difficulty, making it progressively more difficult to tackle enemies as they continue making their way through the path. Its final boss is the Astro Duchess Toilet, with a massive health pool of 49,250,000.
Upon beating this mode, you are rewarded with 1,000 Coins and the Abysmal Difficulty Badge.

Tips for beating the Abysmal Mode in Toilet Tower Defense
Although difficult, having the right units for the Abysmal Mode will be a massive help. A good example is the elusive Clock Spider unit, a Legendary Tower that boasts high range and decent damage.
The idea is to place as many Clock Spiders as possible and upgrade every unit on the map to max. They will be able to snipe their way through most enemies without issues. Furthermore, since this unit can be moved, you may reposition it depending on the situation. Of course, being only available through trading, the Post Office, or premium means makes this strategy inaccessible.
The Clock Spider can be replaced with the Titan Fanman, which is supported by an array of DPS and utility-centric units. For consistently high DPS, pick the Upgraded Titan Cinemaman, as it can dish out up to 71,000 points of damage per second when maxed out.
A decent starter unit to fetch you some cash is also wise, a role that fits Green Laser Cameraman to a tee. Lastly, you can also add a support unit that passively earns cash for your roster. The Santa TV Man and the Scientist Clockman units can serve this role perfectly.
Take it slow and amass as much money as possible while navigating the waves. If your units fall, replace them quickly and max out their upgrades to keep the upper hand.
