Andretti Autosport is an America-based motorsports company founded as Gerald Forsythe Racing by Gerald Forsythe and Barry Green in 1993. They began competing in the CART Indy Car World Series the following year. It was renamed to Team Green after Barry Green took over in 1995. Michael Andretti joined the organization buying a stake in the team in 2002, and the team was renamed Andretti Green Racing. Their IndyCar operations started in 2003. Michael Andretti claimed full control of the team in 2009 renaming it to Andretti Autosport. The team used to race four cars in the IndyCar series from the 2004 season.
