20-year-old Coco Gauff is currently one of the best players on the WTA tour. Many tennis experts compare her with Serena Williams, and her performance on the tennis court definitely shows that she has the potential to become one of the best tennis players in history. After winning the 2023 US Open, Gauff secured her status as a Grand Slam champion and became the highest-ranked American player on the WTA tour.

Gauff, who is currently ranked No. 3 (as of November 2024) in the world, has nine WTA tour singles titles and nine doubles titles under her belt. She won five of those doubles titles with her current doubles partner, Jessica Pegula. They won the Miami Open in 2023 and became the first all-American duo to win the Miami Open doubles title in 22 years.

Gauff won her second WTA 1000 title at the 2024 China Open, defeating Karolina Muchova in the finals. She also won the 2024 ASB Classic and defeated Elina Svitolina in the final. Alongside LeBron James, she was chosen by the US Olympic Committee to carry the flag at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. However, in the third round, she was defeated by eventual silver medallist Donna Vekic.

Gauff defeated Swiatek in the group stage and World No. 1 Sabalenka in the semifinals, making her the youngest player since Kim Clijsters in 2002 to register a win against World No. 1 and No. 2 at the WTA Finals. After overcoming a set deficit, her subsequent win over gold medalist Qinwen Zheng secured her the WTA Finals title, making her the youngest champion since Maria Sharapova in 2004.

Coco Gauff's career earnings were $75,000 before going into the 2019 Wimbledon tournament. In the first round of the 2019 Wimbledon, she defeated Venus Williams and later she was eliminated with a fourth-round loss to eventual champion Simona Halep.
