Beyond the powerful shot-making and expressive celebrations, Jan-Lennard Struff is a shy, timid professional tennis player from Germany. He is a four-time ATP title winner on the doubles circuit and a one-time ATP title winner on the singles circuit. His career-high ranking in both singles and doubles is No. 21.

Jan-Lennard Struff won the 2024 Dubai Tennis Championships in the doubles category with Tallon Griekspoor. They defeated the team of Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek in the final. He also won his maiden ATP singles title at the 2024 Bavarian International, defeating Taylor Fritz in the final. He defeated two-time defending champion Holger Rune to reach his fourth career final. Struff reached the fourth round of the 2024 Madrid Open, the 2024 Monte Carlo Masters and the 2024 ATP Rotterdam.

Struff is a 6’4” powerhouse who prefers clay courts, where he can dictate play. The 34-year-old won his first title in 2018 at Tokyo, alongside Ben McLachlan, with whom he went onto win another title in 2019. While he started playing tennis at the age of six, there were always other sports hovering around too. In fact, Struff initially picked up a badminton racquet when he was a kid. Not to forget his inherent love for football - and his favorite club Borussia Dortmund.

Off the court, Jan-Lennard Struff loves his share of movies and music. Since he is a married man with a child, he also has daddy duties during the off-season. Currently, the German star is being coached by Marvin Netuschil, and is ranked No. 43 in singles by the ATP as of late 2024.
