Yoshihito Nishioka is a 28-year-old tennis player who turned professional in January 2014. Soon after going pro, he won the gold medal at the 2014 Asian Games, defeating Lu Yen Hsun in the final. The current No. 1 Japanese has won two ATP titles till date, including the 2022 Seoul Open and the 2018 Shenzhen Open.

Nishioka’s career-best performance in a grand slam came at the 2023 Australian Open and the 2023 French Open, where he reached the fourth round. He became the second player after Kei Nishikori to reach the fourth round at the Roland Garros. He ended the 2023 season by reaching his fifth ATP final at the 2023 Zhuhai Championships, where he lost to Karen Khachanov.
