Casey DeSmith is an American professional hockey goaltender for the Dallas Stars in the NHL. He was born on August 13, 1991, in Rochester, New Hampshire, U.S. DeSmith holds the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins record for most playoff saves and was named to the 2016–17 AHL All-Rookie Team.

Despite being undrafted, he made his way into professional hockey with the Wheeling Nailers in 2015. After excelling in the AHL, DeSmith signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2017, becoming a key goaltender following Matt Murray’s trade. Following a stint with the Vancouver Canucks in 2023–24, he signed with the Stars.
