Jakob Chychrun is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman playing for the Ottawa Senators in the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on March 31, 1998, he has established himself as an impactful defenseman since his selection as the 16th overall pick by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

Jakob started his NHL career with the Coyotes, signing an entry-level contract in July 2016 at the age of 18 years. He became the youngest player in the history of the Coyotes to make his NHL debut. He continued to play for the Coyotes till March 2023, when he was traded to the Ottawa Senators.
