Miles Wood, born on September 13, 1995, is an American professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the Colorado Avalanche in the National Hockey League (NHL). Notably, Wood was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft while still attending high school.

Throughout his tenure with the New Jersey Devils, he appeared in 402 games for them while contributing 87 goals and 74 assists across an eight-season stay with them. Moreover, he was signed by the Colorado Avalanche to a six-year, $15 million contract as a free agent in 2023.

Miles Wood hails from Buffalo, New York, and spent his formative years in Manchester, Massachusetts. During his youth, Wood participated in the 2007 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament as a member of the Middlesex Islanders minor ice hockey team, alongside teammates Jon Gillies and Matt Grzelcyk.

Notably, while attending Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, Massachusetts, Wood was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft; however he chose to attend school instead.
