In the second period, Kadri executed a remarkable maneuver, leaping over Lightning defenseman J.J. Moser to break free on a breakaway. He finished with a stunning 360-spin-o-rama goal, showcasing his creativity on the ice.

Kadri has racked up 19 points through 10 goals and nine assists in 30 games for the Flames, who are fifth in the Pacific Division with a 14-11-5 record.

This was the third defeat for the Flames in their last five games. They will continue their home schedule when hosting the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Florida Panthers, next on Saturday. The puck drops at 10 p.m. ET.


Nazem Kadri scores stunner but Flames suffer heavy defeat to Lightning

On Thursday, the Calgary Flames hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning at Scotiabank Saddledome but suffered a heavy defeat.

Nikita Kucherov, was the standout performer in the game. He racked up six points through a goal and five assists and tied the Lightning franchise record for most points in a game.

Brayden Point also had a four-point night, while Anthony Cirelli and Jake Guentzel each accumulated three points for the Bolts. Jonathan Huberdeau continued with his impressive performance, collecting two points for the Flames.

Nazem Kadri and Connor Zary were the other scorers for the home team in the defeat, while goaltender Dan Vladar allowed all eight goals, ending the matchup with a .692 SV%.
