Washington Capitals defenseman Jakob Chychrun’s fiancee Olivia Ibrahim is a health-conscious individual and regularly shares updates about her health and nutritional routines on Instagram. However, on Wednesday, Olivia took to her stories to raise concern about a potentially misleading loophole in the certification of organic products imported from China.
In a video, she expressed her concerns about the credibility of certain ‘organic’ products sold in the United States. She specifically mentioned Whole Foods’ Organic 365 brand, stating:
“Good morning to everybody except Whole Foods, who has been selling Organic 365, this brand. Check the back, everything I have from them, product of China, and then quality, okay this thing, Quality Assurance International, which is the company that certifies organic, isn't even allowed to work in China and audit Chinese farms.
“So I have no idea if this product is organic to begin with, and then what, is it made in a lab? Like, what's going on, where is this growing? I have no idea, but this is legal, like I have, I'm so confused," she said.
Olivia supported her claims by sharing a screenshot from Wikipedia, which stated that Chinese laws reportedly prohibit foreign organizations from monitoring their farms.
Jakob Chychrun's fiancee also posted images of packaging labels from various organic products, pointing out the certifications and their limitations. She then included screenshots from Amazon listings for food products imported from China and questioned the reliability of their organic labeling.

“The most beautiful bride to be. I love you,” Lauren wrote.
The party took place in a chic venue decorated with golden chandeliers and wooden artifacts.
Jakob Chychrun proposed to Olivia in June last year in a beautiful outdoor setting.
