Columbus Blue Jackets forward Adam Fantilli scored his career first hat-trick on Wednesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Fantilli's hat-trick helped the Blue Jackets secure a 5-1 win against the Leafs at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, just 30 miles from his hometown of Nobleton, Ontario.
Fantilli’s mom, Julia, celebrated her son's hat-trick by tossing her hat onto the ice after his third goal. A video from Spittin Chiclets, captured Julia pumping her arms and hugging her husband, Giuliano, and Fantilli’s brother, Luca. Fantilli scored with nearly 80 family members and friends in attendance.

After the game, Fantilli’s teammates celebrated by giving him a shaving cream face wash during his postgame interview.
Adam Fantilli's first was a shorthanded goal in the opening period, giving the Blue Jackets a 1-0 lead. He added his second in the second period with a sharp snapshot, assisted by Dmitri Voronkov and Zach Werenski.
His third goal came in the third period, an empty-net. With the hat-trick, he became the fourth youngest player in franchise history to do so, after Nikita Filatov, Cole Sillinger and Pierre-Luc Dubois.
Earlier this season, Adam Fantilli scored twice n a 5-2 win against the Calgary Flames on Nov. 29. The 2023 third-overall draft pick has scored 14 goals and 12 assists for 26 points in 48 games.

The Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Toronto Maple Leafs after building on an early lead. Adam Fantilli scored the first goal at 15:40 with a short-handed shot over Dennis Hildeby’s blocker. James van Riemsdyk made it 2-0 in the second period at 13:40, scoring from the slot after a pass from Luca Del Bel Belluz.
Fantilli added his second goal at 15:21 of the second, putting in a loose puck near the net after Dmitri Voronkov’s effort. Del Bel Belluz extended the lead to 4-0 early in the third period, jamming in the puck after a battle behind the net.
Auston Matthews scored for the Leafs at 9:22 of the third period with a one-timer from William Nylander. Fantilli completed his hat-trick at 12:02. Elvis Merzlikins stopped 29 shots, securing the win for Columbus. The Blue Jackets lead the season series 2-0.
