Founded in 2021, as an expansion franchise to the city of Seattle, the Seattle Kraken are one of the newest additions to the world of the National Hockey League (NHL). In just two seasons of play, they are yet to perform to their fullest potential. However, their impressive playoff run in 2023 saw some fans finally acknowledge a hungry beast that lies within the shadows.
Notable players like Pierre Edouard-Bellemare, Matty Beniers, Oliver Bjorkstrandz Jordan Eberle, Yanni Gourde and Philipp Grunauer currently form the core of the team. Additionally, the team also has minor league affiliations with Coachella Valley Firebirds of the American Hockey League (AHL) and Kansas City Mavericks of the ECHL. The team has the players and the support to become one of the best in the league in the years to come by.

Being one of the newest additions to the National Hockey League, Seattle Kraken have had two mixed seasons with regards to their performances. In thier first season of play, they were inconsistent and finished the season with only 27 wins. The following season saw them advance to the second round of the playoffs, repaying the trust of the owners and the fans alike. Seattle Kraken Conference History
Seattle Kraken are relatively new to the world of National Hockey League till now as they have completed only two seasons of play yet. In noth these seasons they were fairly placed within their division. As most teams struggle in their first years, Seattle Kraken were no different. They only won 27 games in their debut season and were ranked 8th in the Pacific Division and were ranked 9th in the Western Conference. However, they pickey up the following season as they reached round two of the Stanley Cup playoffs after defeating the Colorado Avalanche in a closely fought series.

Seattle Kraken just like any other newly formed team found it hard to find their feet in the National Hockey League in its initial season. The Kraken strated the 2021-22 season strongly at home, winning both their home games in the month of October 2021. However, wins were hard to come by, especially while playing away.
