Kamilla Cardoso is a Brazilian basketball player who has quickly become one of the best rookies in the WNBA. A native of Montes Claros, Brazil, Cardoso stands at 6 feet 7 inches. Her towering presence and two-way skill set make her a key player for Chicago Sky.

Cardoso's basketball journey began at the high school at Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she averaged an astounding 24.1 points, 15.8 rebounds, and 9.2 blocks per game as a senior. Her exceptional performance earned her selections to the McDonald's All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic, marking her as one of the top prospects in the nation. Rated as a five-star recruit, Cardoso chose Syracuse for her college career.

At Syracuse, Cardoso made an immediate impact, becoming the first player in the program's history to win the ACC Freshman of the Year award. After a successful freshman year, she transferred to South Carolina, where she won national championships in 2022 and 2024. During her time at the South Carolina Gamecocks, her team heavily relied upon Kamilla Cardodo because of her speed and versatility on the court. She proved to be an efficient player on offense and a great rim protector on defense for the Gamecocks during their two title runs.
