Who are Kayla McBride’s parents?

Kayla McBride was born to parents LaMont and LuAnn McBride in Eerie Pennsylvania. LaMont McBride is the one to introduce McBride to basketball, as he officiated high school games and worked summer camps, as per her own website.

McBride often spent her summers with her father at these camps since she was only 4 years old. As a child, she was taken to Burton Park to play against boys, who were often bigger than her. This competition drove her to be better than them and helped her develop her jumper early on. McBride’s father realized early on that she was as good, if not better than the boys at his camps and helped her nurture her talent, developing her into the player we see in the WNBA today.
