Kayla McBride is an American professional basketball player. She is a shooting guard for the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA and Fenerbahçe of the Turkish Super League. McBride’s basketball career started at Villa Maria Academy where she played for her high school team and won two Pennsylvania Class AA state championships in 2009 and 2010. McBride then joined the University of Notre Dame where she was instrumental in taking the Fighting Irish to four consecutive final fours and three NCAA finals. McBride began her professional career in the WNBA when she was selected 3rd overall by the San Antonio Stars in the 2014 WNBA Draft.
During her WNBA career, McBride has been a steady producer, being named to the WNBA All-Star team four times (2015, 2018, 2019, 2024). She has also won several championships in the international leagues including Hungary, Russia and Turkey.
