Legendary Suzanne Brigit Bird is a former women's basketball player, known for her remarkable career with the Seattle Storm playing as a point guard. Bird began her basketball life at Syosset High School but soon transferred to Christ the King Regional High School in New York to face stronger competition. During school time, she led her team to a New York state championship. Bird's performance in high school earned her a spot on the University of Connecticut women's basketball team, the UConn Huskies.

In 2002, Bird was selected as the first overall pick in the WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm. After being drafted she made an immediate impact on that year, earning an All-Star selection as a rookie. Throughout Bird's long career, She won four WNBA championships and was named thirteen times the WNBA All-Star team selection. Beyond the WNBA, she also found success in the Russian league, where she claimed five league championships and five Euro league titles. On the international stage, Bird represented the United States and won five Olympic gold medals and four World Cup titles.
