Caron Wentz is playing for the Kansas City Chiefs, after spending time with four different teams in the NFL. Drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2016, Carson went on to win the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots in 2017. Wentz's best season was the 2017 season when the Eagles went on an 11-2 record with him under center and ultimately won the Super Bowl. Carson’s injury not only put him on the sidelines during the Eagles' Super Bowl run but also prevented him from reaching the peak of his potential, which ultimately made the Eagles trade him to the Indianapolis Colts and then the Washington Commanders.

As of January 2025, Wentz has compiled 22,410 passing yards to go along with 153 touchdowns, 67 interceptions and 243 sacks. He attended North Dakota State where he redshirted his debut campaign. For the next four years, he completed 392 of 612 passes for 5,115 yards with 45 touchdowns as per the NDSU website. He also went to the Century High School where he played as both defensive back and a quarterback.

Which teams has Carson Wentz played for?

Carson was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2016 and he spent the next five seasons with them, resulting in a championship. After the 2020 season, The Eagles traded Carson to the Indianapolis Colts, in exchange for a 2021 third-round pick and a 2022 first-round pick. After yet another injury to Carson during the training camp session, the Colts came short of reaching the playoffs. Later, Carson got traded yet again to the Washington Commanders for second and third-round picks.

During his time with the Commanders, Carson suffered another injury and performed poorly when he returned. This led to the head coach Ron Rivera relieving Carson of his starting duties and he got benched for the majority of the season. After the Commanders failed to reach the playoffs, Carson Wentz ultimately was waived from the team. Afterwards, he was signed by the Rams to back up Matthew Stafford in 2023, before the Chiefs inked him to a one-year deal as QB2 for the 2024 season.

Finally, in 2024, Wentz signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as a backup to Patrick Mahomes and plays for them as of January 2025.
