San Francisco 49ers Playoff Chances

Another year, another Super Bowl heartbreak for the San Francisco 49ers. 

They came agonizingly close to toppling the Chiefs dynasty but it was not meant to be. In 2024, Kyle Shanahan's Niners will likely go about business as usual. 

The Niners were never in a position to make a big splash in free agency though they did bring in Josh Dobbs as Brock Purdy's backup. In any case, the core of this 49ers roster remains the same. But if the Eagles don't crumble late in the year, San Fran will have to battle it out with Philly to make it to the Super Bowl. That should be fun. 

In any case, our algorithm puts the 49ers' playoff chances at 96% with a 33% shot at winning the NFC.
