Derrick Deshaun Watson who is more commonly known as Deshaun Watson is an American football quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. Watson was born on September 14, 1995, in Gainesville, Georgia. Deshaun is a very talented quarterback who had an amazing college career for the Clemson Tigers football club. He put up astronomical numbers especially in his Sophomore and Junior years amassing over 10,000 passing yards in 3 years. After his Junior year at Clemson, Watson declared for the NFL draft in 2017. Deshaun Watson was projected as a first-round prospect by many sports analysts and scouts.

Furthermore, he was considered either the best or second-best quarterback in the draft class. Eventually, he was selected by the Houston Texans with the 12th overall pick and was the third quarterback selected behind Mitchell Trubisky and Patrick Mahomes. In the 2017 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans traded up with the Cleveland Browns and drafted their future star quarterback. The Texans signed Watson to a 4-year $13.84 million contract.

From the 2018 season, Watson has started and played in every single game. However, in March 2021, Watson was slapped with sexual assault allegations by at least couple of dozen massage therapists. On account of these allegations, Watson was ruled out of the 2021 season entirely and was traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2022. However, due to the sexual assault allegations from the previous year, Watson was suspended for 11 games in 2022 and could only play in the remaining 6 games.
