Kadarius Toney is a professional American football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Born on January 27, 1999, Toney attended Blount High School in Eight Mile, Alabama. He played as a starting quarterback for the majority of his time in high school. Toney threw for 3,604 yards while rushing for 896 and having 53 touchdowns as a junior and was subsequently named AL.com Coastal Alabama first-team. As a senior, Toney was honored with the Alabama 6A Back of the Year. He also made the 2016 AL.com Super All-State Team, played in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic, and was named the Offensive MVP of the 2016 AL.com All-Coastal Alabama team.
Toney went on to college baseball for the Florida Gators where he was a finalist for the 2020 Paul Hornung Award. An accolade is given to the most versatile player in college football.
Drafted by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Toney signed a four-year contract worth $13.7 million with them. The Giants traded Toney to the Kansas City Chiefs in October 2022.
