Lane Johnson is an American football offensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles, as of the 2024 NFL season. Drafted fourth overall by the Eagles in 2013, he started his journey as a quarterback at Kilgore College before transferring to the University of Oklahoma. At Oklahoma, he transitioned from quarterback to tight end, then to defensive end, and eventually found his place as an offensive tackle. Johnson became a key starter for the Sooners and earned third-team All-American honors, as per Oklahoma Sooners' official website.

Johnson's NFL journey began when he was drafted by the Eagles in 2013. As of the 2024 NFL season, he has spent 12 seasons in the league, all with the Eagles. In 2017, he started the season with an injury but managed to play 15 games, helping the Eagles claim the top spot in the NFC East. They had a successful playoff run, making it to Super Bowl LII, where they defeated the New England Patriots, giving Johnson his first Super Bowl ring, as of January 2025.
