Saquon Rasul Quevis Barkley is an American professional football running back for the Philadelphia Eagles as of January 2025. He was drafted second overall in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He played for the New York Giants before joining the Philadelphia Eagles. After playing for six seasons with the Giants from 2018 to 2023, Barkley signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in March 2024. The Eagles and Barkley agreed to a three-year deal worth $37,750,000 (via Spotrac). As a rookie, Barkley rushed for 1,307 yards, scoring 11 touchdowns and made to PFWA All-Rookie Team (2018). His performance also earned him a spot in the Pro Bowl.
During his time at Penn State University before entering the NFL, Barkley shone brightly by setting records for his school. In 2017 he was honored with the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year award.
