Sting (unique name: Steve Borden), the ongoing holder and one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Title is a famous Superstar in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He was a former weightlifter before his wrestling profession. He is known for his time at several famous American wrestling promotions, including Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) World Wrestling Federation (presently WWE), and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). After his enlistment into WWE's Hall of Fame (2016), 'The Vigilante' turned out to be just the second grappler (after Ric Flair) to be inducted while actively performing. Wrestling Observer Newsletter also inducted him into the Hall of Fame in 2016. In the wake of breaking his retirement, he was endorsed with AEW in 2020. Sting has 26 titles in total throughout his career, 21 of them won during his TNA and WCW days. Sting was named Wrestler of the Year and Inspirational Wrestler of the Year in 1990, "Most Popular Wrestler of the Year" (1991, 1992, 1994, 1997), and Most Improved Wrestler of the Year in 1998 by Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI).

The names of Sting’s father and mother are presently not known. Sting posted an image of his parents in his Instagram on May 10, 2020 to wish her mother on Mother’s Day. It is assumed from the image that, his father was approximately 60 and his mother was right around 50 years old that time. Sting revealed that his father passed away recently and that news hit him very hard. According to Sting, his father was a hero to him who always taught him the right thing in life.
