The Cincinnati Reds was first formed as the Cincinnati Red Stockings in 1881 before adopting its present name in 1890. The Cincinnati Reds have been a part of the National League (NL) since 1890 and have claimed five World Series titles, nine National League (NL) titles, seven West Division titles, and three Central Division titles as of 2024.
Remarkably, they were a dominant force during the 1970s which led them to be nicknamed “Big Red Machine” and have produced several Hall of Famers. As of 2024, the team calls Great American Ball Park their home and has six minor league affiliates across the United States and the Dominican Republic.

Notably, He had also been a former member of the Cincinnati Reds in the 1987 season. He made his MLB debut with the Montreal Expos on August 19, 1981. Since then, he has played for the Montreal Expos, the Chicago Cubs, the Cincinnati Reds, the Cleveland Indians, and the Milwaukee Brewers. He played his final game in MLB for the Milwaukee Brewers on April 19, 1990, and retired from his MLB playing career afterward.
Moving on from his playing career, Terry Francona served as the third-base coach of the Detroit Tigers in 1996. He has also coached the Texas Rangers in 2002 and the Oakland Athletics in 2003. Meanwhile, he had also started his managerial career. He served as the manager of the Philadelphia Phillies from 1997 to 2000, the Boston Red Sox from 2004 to 2011, and the Cleveland Indians/ Guardians from 2013 to 2023. He was a two-time World Series winner with the Boston Red Sox in 2004 and in 2007. He had also been presented AL Manager of the Year three times in 2013, 2016, and 2022. He took over the role of the manager of the Cincinnati Reds from the 2025 season onwards in October 2024.
