Mitchell Lynn Garver is a professional baseball player who plays for the Seattle Mariners in MLB. He hails from Albuquerque, New Mexico and attended New Mexico College and La Cueva High School in Albuquerque. In the 2013 MLB Draft, Garver was picked by the Minnesota Twins in the ninth round and became the 260th overall pick. He began playing baseball at the University of New Mexico, where Garver walked onto the Lobos squad and was awarded consecutive co-Mountain West Conference Player of the Year in 2012 and 2013, sharing accolades with team mate D.J. Peterson.
He was named to the All-American second team and the Cape Cod League All-Star team in 2012. Garver made his MLB debut with the Minnesota Twins in 2017 and had a remarkable season in 2019, winning the Silver Slugger Award as a catcher. He played five seasons with the Twins before leaving to sign with the Texas Rangers in 2022, assisting them in winning the 2023 World Series. In 2024, Garver signed with the Seattle Mariners.
