The Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB) are notable for having their origins in Brooklyn, New York, United States. Formed in 1883 as the Brooklyn Grays, they went through several name changes over the years, most notably, the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1932 to 1957. However, they relocated to Los Angeles, California, United States, after the 1957 season and became the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1958 onwards. The team has always been a National League (NL) member and a representative of the NL West Division.

The Los Angeles Dodgers won their first World Series title by defeating the New York Yankees 4-3 over seven games.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs Chicago White Sox (1959)

The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago White Sox faced off against each other in a best of six-game series at the 1959 World Series from October 1, 1959, to October 9, 1959. The Los Angeles Dodgers were managed by Walter Alston while the Chicago White Sox were managed by AL Lopez. The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Chicago White Sox 4-2 to claim their second World Series title.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs New York Yankees (1963)

The Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees were at it again during the 1963 World Series game. This was a best-of-four-game series from October 2, 1963, to October 6, 1963. The Los Angeles Dodgers had Walter Alston as their manager while the New York Yankees were managed by Ralph Houk. The Los Angeles Dodgers completely swept the New York Yankees 4-0 and won their third World Series title.

The Minnesota Twins were the next opponent of the Los Angeles Dodgers during the 1965 World Series. The two teams engaged in a best-of-seven-game series from October 6, 1965, to October 14, 1965. The Los Angeles Dodgers had Walter Alston as the manager while the Minnesota Twins had Sam Mele as their manager. The Los Angeles Dodgers overcame the Minnesota Twins 4-3 to claim their fourth World Series title.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs New York Yankees (1981)

This was the third time the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees faced each other in a World Series game. They played a best-of-six-game series from October 20, 1981, to October 28, 1981. The Los Angeles Dodgers had Tommy Lasorda as their manager while Bob Lemon managed the New York Yankees. The Los Angeles Dodgers earned their fifth World Series title by defeating the New York Yankees 4-2. Los Angeles Dodgers vs Oakland Athletics (1988)
