Adama Sanogo is a Chicago Bulls power forward, who hails from Mali. Sanogo is known for his standout role in UConn’s 2023 NCAA Championship run, where he earned the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player award. He became the first African-born player since Hakeem Olajuwon in 1983 to win this honor. Sanogo has also led Mali to a Gold medal at the 2017 FIBA U16 African Championship. In the 2023 NBA draft, Sanogo went undrafted, but he was signed on a two-way contract by the Chicago Bulls. Under this contract, Sanogo spent time with Chicago Bulls' G-League affiliate, the Windy City Bulls in his rookie season. It was a great campaign for Sanogo with the Windy City Bulls as he was named into the All-NBA G League Third Team and NBA G League All-Rookie Team, and was also named NBA G League Next Up Game in 2024.

Raised in Bamako, Mali, Adama Sanogo is the son of Cheickne Sanogo and Awa Traore. As a child, Adama loved playing Soccer, but it was his uncle, Tidiane Dramé, who encouraged him to play basketball. Sanogo's basketball skills developed quickly and he moved to the USA in 2015. In the USA, he first played for Our Savior New American School in New York before transferring to The Patrick School in New Jersey. As a four-star recruit, Sanogo had a terrific college career at UConn from 2020 to 2023. He’s a forward for the Chicago Bulls and will hope to get minutes in the 2024/25 NBA season.
