After playing a total of three seasons for his native team, Schroder declared for the 2013 NBA Draft, where he was selected 17th overall pick by the Atlanta Hawks.

Now in his 11th NBA season, the 30-year-old is playing as a backup point guard for the Brooklyn Nets.
