Kris Dunn is an American combo guard who plays for the Los Angeles Clippers. Born on March 18, 1994, Kris Dunn was selected with the fifth overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Despite being a high lottery pick, Dunn had a disappointing rookie season with the Timberwolves and he was traded before the start of the 2017–18 season to the Chicago Bulls. During his time with the Bulls from 2017 to 2020, Dunn showed flashes of his potential. In the 2017–18 season, he averaged a solid 13.4 points, 6 assists, and 2 steals per game. He repeated his defensive success in the 2019–20 season, again averaging 2 steals per game. That same season, Kris Dunn finished 11th in All-Defensive Team voting, narrowly missing out on both the First and Second Teams.

After leaving the Bulls, Dunn struggled to find consistent opportunities in the NBA and spent time in the G League. In the 2021–22 G League season, Dunn played for the Agua Caliente Clippers, where he averaged 11.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 2.2 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game while shooting 45.3% from the field, though his three-point percentage was only 25.0%. Kris Dunn then had a great G League season in 2022–23 with the Capital City Go-Go as he averaged 15.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 2.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game while significantly improving his shooting. He shot 54.3% from the field and an impressive 41.9% from three-point range. Furthermore, Kris Dunn’s elite defensive prowess earned him a spot on the NBA G League All-Defensive Team in 2023. Dunn's strong performance in the G League led to a return to the NBA when he was signed by the Utah Jazz. Since then, he has re-established himself in the NBA and continues to contribute, now as a member of the Los Angeles Clippers.
