Kyle Alexander Kuzma is an NBA Power forward who is playing in his third season for the Washington Wizards. Born and Raised in Flint, Michigan, Kuzma was only a toddler when he had his first experience with basketball, eventually growing an unshakeable bond with the sport.

Kuzma attended Bentley High School and became one of the highly skilled young talents at the institute. In his junior year at Bentley, Kuzma was averaging nearly 18 points, 14.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 3.4 blocks per game.

After his impressive junior year at Bentley, Kuzma joined Philadelphia’s Rise Academy and exceeded expectations in his senior year, scoring twenty-two points and seven rebounds per game.

Kuzma’s first contract was a four-year $8.65 Million rookie deal which he signed in July 2017. In his first two seasons, Kuzma averaged 17.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 0.6 steals a game.

In his second season, Kuzma started in (career high) 68 games and played 33 minutes per game which for a second-year player is a lot of minutes.

After Luke Walton’s replacement by Frank Vogel as head coach in 2019, Kuzma shifted to rotation and started fewer games that season. However, the adjustments paid off as Kuzma won his first NBA Championship, scoring ten points per game on 43% shooting in the Playoffs.

In December 2020, Kuzma signed a three-year $39 Million rookie extension deal with the Lakers which came with a final year player option.

After a disappointing 2020-21 season, Kuzma was traded by the Lakers to the Washington Wizards along with Kentavious-Caldwell Pope as part of a five-team trade.

Since being traded, Kuzma has had his career’s best run with the Wizards, averaging 19.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists,0.6 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game.
