Lowry made his NBA debut for the Memphis Grizzlies, but came into the spotlight during his time with the Houston Rockets. In his three seasons with the Rockets, Lowry averaged 12.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. After joining the Toronto Raptors in 2012, he began his much-awaited ascend to popularity.

After being picked 24th overall in the 2006 NBA Draft, Lowry signed his career’s first contract — a four-year $5.2 million rookie contract with the first two years worth $2.1 million guaranteed and the other two years being club option.

In July 2010, Lowry signed a four-year $24 million contract with the Houston Rockets, earning an estimated $5.8 million on average throughout the deal.

In July 2014, Lowry signed a four-year $48 million contract with the Toronto Raptors including $48 million guaranteed with average annual earnings of $12 million. Between this and his next contract, Lowry went on to make three consecutive All-Star appearances (2015-2017) and helped the Raptors reach the Eastern Conference Finals (2016) and the Conference Semis (2017).
