
Max Strus is a professional American basketball player who plays in the USA Division I League for the Cleveland Cavaliers as of March 2025. Strus played two years of college basketball for the Lewis Flyers, where he averaged 16.8 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. He transferred to the DePaul Blue Demons, which comes under DePaul University, and played the remaining seasons. Strus scored 1,226 points and grabbed 382 rebounds, combining his two seasons at DePaul. He was also named to the second All-Big East men's basketball team in 2019.
After not getting drafted in the 2019 NBA draft, he joined the Boston Celtics to play in the 2019 NBA Summer League, where he averaged 9.8 points per game. On October 22, 2019, he signed with the Bulls in a two-way contract. After getting sidelined for almost a year due to an injury, Strus joined the Miami Heat NBA 2020-21 season. He played three seasons with the Heats before signing a deal with the Cavaliers.
