Peyton Watson is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Denver Nuggets in the NBA. Born on September 11, 2002, in Beverly Hills, California, Watson attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School, where he emerged as a five-star elite talent. After high school, Watson played for UCLA for the 2021/2022 collegiate season.

The OKC Thunder selected Watson with the 30th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. However, the Nuggets recognized his two-way talent and acquired him from the Thunder while sending JaMychal Green and a 2027 protected first-round draft pick.

During his rookie season, Watson was adjusting to the NBA as he saw limited game time, but always showed flashes of brilliance whenever called upon. He was part of the Nuggets’ 2023 NBA title win, earning a championship ring in his rookie season.

In the 2023/24 season, Watson's role increased significantly. He became a key part of the Nuggets rotation, providing instant two-way impact off the bench. He mostly plays off the ball, making intelligent cuts to finish at the rim. He can also knock down shots from beyond the arc, all while guarding the opposition's best players. Watson has proven himself to be a perfect off-the-bench two-way impact player for the Nuggets.
