Born on June 5, 1993, Royce O'Neale has carved out a niche for himself in the NBA as an elite 3-and-D wing player, earning recognition as one of the league's top role players. He is currently playing for the Phoenix Suns.

After going undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft, O'Neale took his talents overseas, beginning his professional career in Germany with MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg during the 2015/16 season. There, he showcased his elite two-way abilities as a wing player for the first, averaging 8.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, laying the foundation for his future success.

O'Neale continued his European stint with Gran Canaria in the Liga ACB during the 2016/17 season, where despite limited playing time, he averaged 7.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game and helped the team to secure a Spanish Super Cup victory in 2016.

In 2017, O'Neale found a place on Utah Jazz's summer league team, and he seized that opportunity, impressing coaches and management with his defensive tenacity and three-point shooting. The Jazz recognized his potential and signed him for the remainder of the season, where he quickly emerged as a key 3-and-D player.

O'Neale was an integral part of the Utah Jazz’s team success from 2018 to 2022. During the 2020/21 NBA season, Royce O'Neale started 71 games, averaging 31.6 minutes per game and contributing 7 points per game while shooting an impressive 38.5% from beyond the arc. His performance was crucial for the Jazz as they secured top seed in the Western Conference in the 2020/21 NBA season.

In June 2022, O'Neale was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, and then, his journey took another turn on February 8, 2024, when he was traded to the Phoenix Suns. Throughout his career, Royce O'Neale has solidified his status as one of the NBA's premier 3-and-D specialists and invaluable role players.
