Shake Milton is an American shooting guard who plays for the New York Knicks in the NBA. Milton first made a name for himself in high school basketball at Owasso High School in Owasso, Oklahoma, where he averaged an impressive 29.7 points and 4.4 assists per game as a senior during the 2014/15 season.

Milton’s outstanding high school performances earned him the title of Tulsa World Player of the Year and solidified his status as a four-star athlete. He then continued his basketball journey at Southern Methodist University (SMU), where he played for three seasons.

In the 2018 NBA Draft, the Dallas Mavericks selected Milton with the 54th overall pick. However, he was soon traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. Milton quickly established himself as an exceptional shooter with a smooth shooting motion. Just in his second season in the NBA, Milton shot an outstanding 43% from 3-point territory.

Throughout his five-year tenure with the 76ers, Milton has primarily served as a backup shooting guard. On March 1, 2020, he achieved a career-high performance by scoring 39 points in a game and tied an NBA record for the most consecutive made 3-pointers (13) over a span of three games. After his time with the 76ers, Milton had stints with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, and New York Knicks.
