Emeka Egbuka is a wide receiver and played the 2024 season as a graduate student for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was born on October 18, 2002, in Steilacoom, Washington, and graduated from Steilacoom High School. He was named the Washington Gatorade Player of the Year during his junior year, for catching 83 passes for 1,607 yards and 25 touchdowns. He also accounted for 2,240 all-purpose yards, three punt return touchdowns, and four rushing touchdowns. Egbuka graduated from Steilacoom High School as the top-ranked wide receiver in the country, also being a consensus five-star prospect, and the No. 8 overall player as per 247Sports.

Egbuka began his college career at the Ohio State University in January 2021, after his senior year at Steilacoom was abandoned due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a freshman for the Buckeyes, he participated in 11 games and received nine passes for a total of 191 yards. He also returned 20 kickoffs, collecting 580 yards and earning an honorable mention on the All-Big Ten Conference team.

In the 2024 season, Emeka Egbuka was named the team captain for the Buckeyes and helped the team win the 2025 College Football Playoff national championship. He contributed to the team with 81 receptions and registered 1,011 receiving yards for 10 touchdowns. He joined Marvin Harrison Jr. as the only Buckeyes to have two 1,000-yard receiving seasons. Egbuka concluded his Ohio State career with being the second all-time player to register 2,868 career receiving yards and the seventh with 24 touchdown receptions.
