Joe Alt is an American football offensive tackle. Born on February 28, 2003, Alt played his college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He is a native of Fridley, Minnesota, and attended Totino-Grace High School, where he started his football career and honed his offensive tackle and tight end positions.

In 2021, as a true freshman at Notre Dame, Alt made an immediate impression, playing in all 13 games and securing a spot as the starting left tackle for the final 13 games. In 2022, Alt appeared in Notre Dame's Gator Bowl Game where the team emerged victorious, and in the same year, he earned a spot in the First Team All-American. In 2023, he continued to achieve prestigious titles such as Unanimous All-American and became a finalist for the Outland Trophy, given to the nation's best OL" (offensive lineman) or "Interior DL" (defensive lineman). Considering his impressive seasons in college football, Alt has been declared among the top prospects for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Joe is projected to be a top 20 pick on every draft board and is regarded as the best tackle from the 2024 class by many experts.
