Bo Nix is an American football quarterback for the Denver Broncos as of the 2024 NFL season. The Denver Broncos selected him as the 12th overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He was born on February 25, 2000, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Nix first made a name for himself at Auburn University, where he played three seasons and earned the title of SEC Freshman of the Year in 2019. After transferring to the University of Oregon in 2022, he became a standout player, leading the season in touchdowns and becoming a 2023 Heisman Trophy finalist.Nix’s football journey began early, playing under his father at Pinson Valley High School in Alabama. There, he accumulated over 12,000 total offensive yards and 161 touchdowns. He won the prestigious Alabama Mr. Football Award as a senior in 2018. Following his successful college career, Nix was selected by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, where he now looks to make his mark at the professional level.

Bo Nix's first stop in college came at Auburn University. In his true freshman year, Nix emerged as Auburn's starting quarterback for the opening game of the 2019 season against Oregon. In a remarkable debut, he orchestrated a comeback, guiding Auburn to a 27–21 victory against the Oregon Ducks at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on August 31, 2019.
In his sophomore year in 2020, Nix continued to show promise with 12 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. However, the 2021 season had its ups and downs for Nix. He had standout moments, leading Auburn to victories against LSU and #10 Ole Miss. However, he also faced challenges and was benched in the fourth quarter of a game against Georgia State, with T.J. Finley taking over. Unfortunately, Nix's season came to an end due to a season-ending injury during a game against Mississippi State. Despite the challenges, Nix still managed to throw for 11 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions in 2021.After transferring to the University of Oregon in 2022, Nix's production trajectory skyrocketed as he passed more than 3,500 yards in his first season as a Duck while throwing for 29 touchdowns. However, his career year came in 2023, when he put up historic numbers across the board which saw him finish 3rd in Heisman voting. He led the NCAA in various categories like pass completions, passing touchdowns, and completion percentage while guiding the Oregon Ducks to a 12-2 record.
