Australia vs England, 1st match, ICC CT (2004)
The first ICC Champions Trophy clash between Australia and England took place on September 21, 2004, at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham during the first semifinal. England won the toss and elected to field first. Australia posted a total of 259/9 in 50 overs and England successfully chased the target, finishing on 262/4 in 46.3 overs with six wickets in hand. England's captain, Michael Vaughan was named Player of the Match.

Australia and England faced off for the second time in the ICC Champions Trophy on October 21, 2006, at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, India. It was a group-stage match, as both teams were part of Group A. Australia won the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first, England were all out for 169 in 45 overs, and Australia chased the target in 36.5 overs by losing four wickets. Australian top order batsman Damien Martyn was declared the Man of the match.
