As of January 2025, Chris Gayle scored the most runs in the ICC Champions Trophy. The former West Indian opener amassed 791 runs in 17 matches at an average of 52.73 and a strike rate of 88.77, including a personal best of an unbeaten 133. Followed by him is former Sri Lankan skipper Mahela Jayawardene with 742 runs in 22 matches.
The third position belongs to former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan with 701 runs in 10 ODIs. Former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara recorded 683 runs in the fourth position in 22 games. The fifth position belongs to former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly with 665 runs in 13 ODIs. Followed by him, former South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis recorded 653 runs in 17 matches.
In the seventh position, former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid scored 627 runs in 19 ODIs. Followed by him is former Australian captain Ricky Ponting with 593 runs in 18 matches. The ninth position belongs to former West Indian batter Shivnarine Chanderpaul with 587 runs in 16 games. Former Sri Lankan skipper Sanath Jayasuriya scored 536 runs in 20 ODIs in the tenth position.
