As of January 2025, Nathan Astle recorded the highest individual score in the ICC Champions Trophy. He scored an unbeaten 145 off 151 balls that included 13 boundaries and 6 sixes, against the United States of America at The Oval in the ICC Champions Trophy 2004 on September 10, 2004. The second-highest individual score belongs to former Zimbabwean skipper Andy Flower with 145 off 164 balls.

Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly recorded the third-highest individual score with an unbeaten 141 off 142 balls. The fourth on the list is former Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar with 141 off 128 deliveries. Former South African skipper Graeme Smith is fifth with 141 off 134 balls. Followed by him is former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson with an unbeaten 136 off 132 balls.

In the seventh position, former Sri Lankan skipper Kumar Sangakkara scored an unbeaten 134 off 135 balls. Former West Indian opener Chris Gayle is eighth with an unbeaten 133 off 135 balls. The ninth position belongs to English batter Joe Root with an unbeaten 133 off 129 deliveries. Followed by him is former Sri Lankan batter Avishka Gunawardene with 132 runs in 146 balls.
