The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy was the ninth edition of the tournament. It was held from February 19 to March 9, 2025, across Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Following the group stage matches, India, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand advanced to the semi-finals.
India beat Australia in the first semifinal to become first team to reach final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. ICC Champions Trophy's prize money
For the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, $6.9 million in prize money has been allocated by the ICC for the first time which is a 53% rise from 2017. India, who won the tournament, will receive $2.24 million while New Zealand, the runner-up, will get half at $1.12 million. Semi-finalists South Africa and Australia will each earn $560,000, as per ICC's official website.
Afghanistan and Bangladesh, who finished fifth and sixth respectively, will take home $350,000 each. Pakistan and England, finishing seventh and eighth, will receive $140,000 each. Every team that participated in the tournament is assured a minimum payout of $125,000. Furthermore, teams will earn $34,000 for each group-stage victory, as stated on the ICC’s official website.
