The ICC Champions Trophy is back in action after a gap of nearly eight years. The quadrennial tournament was last held in England and Wales during the summer of 2017, and it was eventually won by the Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Pakistan. The eight-team showpiece event has been held eight times since its inception in 1998. The ninth edition will be held in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates from February 19 to March 9.
Over the last 27 years, we have seen several talented players showcase their skills to the hilt on the grandest stage of them all, helping their side win matches or in some cases the entire tournament. Some players have also displayed their all-round strength over the years, immortalizing their names in the history of the ICC Champions Trophy. The ninth edition of the tournament is also set to see many players join the elite list of cricketers with the most Man of the Match awards.
Who has won the most Man of the Match awards?
